Description
Are you ready for some serious splashy fun? Clamber across Scotland on the huge stone map, pilot a boat from coastline to canal, work the mini canal lock gates or find out how The Falkirk Wheel is powered in our Splash Zone!
The Falkirk Wheel is a fantastic day out with a difference and accessible to everyone! With boat trips, a cafe, gift shop, children's activity zone, water play park & mini-canal, waterwalkerz, canoeing, bike hire and woodland walks; there really is something for everyone!
A boat tour is on offer for a cost. The 50 minute journey lifts the boat up to join the Union Canal 35m above and sails smoothly from The Falkirk Wheel onto the Union Canal before returning to your starting point at our Visitor Centre.
Dogs are allowed on-site but should be kept on leads, and we have water bowls for dogs at various points around the site. Only service dogs are allowed on the boat trips and in the visitor centre.

Motorhomes are welcome to overnight here in the top carpark where the mini Kelpies are and a great view of the wheel. £15 payable at the Centre and they give you a key to use the toilet/shower facilities. Gate to car park is locked at 8pm and there is 24 hour security. Safe and quiet spot.

Free to visit and watch the wheel. There is a visitor centre, playground and water play park. You can also pay to take a boat trip up the canal and on the wheel. This takes about an hour.
