Description
A tent and caravan campsite with 6 hard standing pitches and 14 grass pitches. Basic but good site with helpful staff and nice accessible facilities. Located in Victoria Park in the town center as part of leisure centre. Please note this campsite is part of a public park and managed by the leisure centre. Check in from 9am to 5pm on weekdays (at the exception of Tuesday which has a 12 to 5 check-in) and 9am to 12pm on weekends. Site is not manned after 10pm but on call staff can be contacted. Max height for caravans is 24 feet including tow hitch.

Was cycle touring solo with my one person tent and arrived after 5pm but could still check-in. Might be different for a caravan but as a solo tourer there was no issue! Had a great stay in this site and the price was very reasonable. At first, camping in a public park felt a little strange but people using the park were not bothered and were friendly smiling or saying hello, and after 10pm it was dead quiet. Shower block is pretty good and accessible as it's a wet room. Staff was especially helpful, explaining everything. One of them even offered to take my bike light home and charge it for me! Very appreciated!
