Glengarry Ciste Dhubh - Forestry & Land
Campground

Description
Some folk reckon the river Garry is one of Scotlands most beautiful rivers. Its a magnificent sight as it runs powerfully through lovely woodland with tall conifers. Kayakers love the challenge of the rapids, while fishermen hunt for salmon in the quieter stretches.
Much of the woodland here is native Scots pine, with a characteristic range of wildlife from wood ants to Scottish crossbills and red squirrels. It feels very different from other woodlands on the west coast, almost as if the forests of the east are reaching through the Great Glen to meet their neighbours.
Ciste Dubh Trail - A short loop beside the cascades of the River Garry, where you may see red squirrels, deer and even pine marten in the peaceful forest. 1.25 miles (2km)
Allt na Cailliche Trail - Follow the Allt na Cailliche stream to a stunning waterfall and discover remnants of the ancient Caledonian pinewood. 3miles (4.8km)
