Basic small site in excellent quiet location but still close to Gateshead and Newcastle. Red kite spotting area for wildlife buffs. Toilets dated and yes offsite but just over a small pathway so not too far. This pathway is an old coal railway line and a fantastic cycle or walk route. Bryerside working Farm on one side of the track and their camp site on other. Been twice as nice local escape and love it.
