Walking the part of the Pennine Way this is an idea stop over. A small area for tents only.
The facilities are dated basic but clean and useable.
Toilet showers and drinking water.
The owners lets us charge our phones and use a kettle in a small shed/bunk house at the end of their garden which is a very nice touch with seats and a lovely view of old stone buildings and fields.
There is a regular bus service and I would recommend the Dog and Gun by bus ( £4 fare there and back)
The people who run it are very friendly and really helpful really nice older couple.
The tent area is on a very slight dip with well-kept grass and picnic bench came very handy.
