From the campsite you have direct access to the Route 6 national cycle path that you can explore leading you to Sherwood pines a Mecca for Mountain Biker(9.2m)From there you can venture a bit further to clumber park(16m) or you can pick up the trail to the historical market town of Southwell with its Minster. Or if you venture in the other direction (5m) you will find yourself in the Historical home of Lord Byron at Newstead Abbey .If cycling is not for you all these places are within a 10-20 min drive or if you feel like venturing further afield then we are with easy reach of Rufford Abbey, Nottingham Castle & City Caves and with in 40min you can find yourself in the peak district.
For those who just want to stay a bit closer and not move the car we have numerous footpaths that take you through our beautiful village and surrounding countryside where you can stop at one of the local pubs for refreshments.
