If you love traditional pubs, then the Thatch is the place for you! Traced as far back as 1845, it was originally called The Crown, being renamed the Old Thatched Inn in the 1970s.
It is believed the Thatch was previously a farm, where the owner lived upstairs and kept his animals downstairs! He began brewing his own ale and opened up his house to sell beer to the locals.
Stories of ghostly occurrences have been rife over the years, including reports of the Earl of Stamford, a local landowner from years ago, who is said to walk through the old door that was previously at the corner of the building!
While you're visiting enjoy a wide range of cask ales, draught lager, cider or wine - we have it all. Hungry, we have a menu jam packed with everything from steaks to curry nights through to tasty Sunday roast dinners.
Dogs are welcome.
