Description
A rustic, three star, independent site. Situated in a remote and quiet part of Northumberland. Dark sky friendly with no mobile signal and lots of space to relax. Our site is available to like minded walkers, campers, motorbikes, camper vans, motorhomes and touring caravans. Bring your tent or caravan and pitch up. Or stay in one of our Static Caravans or Pods.
We have 25 hardstandings, most can accommodate an awning next to it on a grassed area. A reservoir was put here for a reason, there may be periods of high precipitation when the ground is too soft to accommodate an awning. For this reason we do not allow any vehicles, towing or otherwise to drive or park on the grass. All of our pitches have electric hook up at 10 amps.
There are no tent pitches, we offer a longitudinal field that has a track running through it. You select an area that suits you or that conditions allow.
The site has four pods and two, two bedroom static caravans.
To access the hose for topping up water vehicles will need to drive across our bailey bridge. Be aware this has a 5 tonne maximum load.

Road Closure from Scotland [Travelling to/from Hawick] Dawston Bridge repairs will see the B6357 close at the bridge from 21 July for around 10 weeks. The structure was badly damaged by flooding in February. Repairs are part of a significant investment along the B6357.

Decent site close to village and Anglers arms but a bit over priced but then it is the only touring site in the forest. Note village shop is not much more than a post office so bring supplies or rely on castle cafe or pub.

COVID-19 UPDATE - Will be open from July 4th. Ablutions available, however if you have your own facilities on board you are respectfully asked to use these instead of overloading the ablutions. This will be a high risk area....minimum usage please. THE CAMPSITE ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT NON BOOKED GUESTS. Gates will be closed out of hours.
