Hatchers Farm, Hatchers Farm The Street Preston, Nr, Canterbury CT3 1ED, United Kingdom, England
Description
Open Easter to end of September.
We are a traditional family run Kentish market garden farm in the peaceful village of Preston, central to Canterbury, Whitstable, Dover, Ramsgate and Sandwich. On the farm we grow cherries, plums and a large variety of vegetables for supply to local shops and restaurants. We can supply campers with our fresh seasonal fruit, veg and eggs. Within 500m of the farm we are lucky to have a local shop, butcher, garden centre/cafe and a very friendly pub, The Half Moon and Seven Stars, which serves good food and has occasional live music.
Our generously sized pitches are sited amongst our traditional cherry orchard, which blossoms in Spring and is leafy and full of fruit in Summer. The orchard is bounded with high Kentish hedges of hawthorn and alder, which give protection from the wind and a peaceful ambience. The toilets and showers are in the old pigsty block and there are separate eco-friendly urinals. To the front of the pigsty block there are three kitchen sinks, one larder fridge, two fridge/freezers and phone charging facilities.
We can also supply fire pits and logs for a small charge, but do not allow fires directly on the grass. Use of fires is at campers own risk to personal property.
Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead.
